Ronald Owens

Ronald Thomas Owens, 63, of Ansonville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, and was reunited with his brother, Jerry, and beloved mother, Ruby.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Rodney Clements will officiate.

Ron was born May 3, 1960, in Mecklenburg County to the late James William and Ruby Capps Owens. He was a dedicated employee at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, where he worked with his best friend and brother, Jerry, for over 30 years. 

After retiring, Ron lived a quiet and simple life, spending his days riding his Kawasaki Mule, tending to his herd of cows, and fishing on the river. His pride and joy came from his little dog and sidekick, PeeWee—if you saw Ron, you were sure to see PeeWee close by!

Ron is survived by his close friends Jeremy and Amy Efird, Rylie Tucker (Ben), and Brayden Efird.
